The Definition of Warrior
The Definition of a Warrior: The impeccable warrior, the impeccable man
“Given enough time any man may master the physical. With enough knowledge, any man may become wise, but it is a true warrior who can master both, and surpass the result!” – Tien T’ai
“A warrior doesn’t week anything for his solace, nor can he possibly leave anything to chance. A warrior actually affects the outcome of events by the force of his awareness and his unbending intent” – Carlos Castaneda
“Circumstances, fuck circumstances, I make my own.”
– Bruce Lee
“Fortune favors the brave.”"War is the natural state for a warrior, and peace is an anomaly. But war, for a warrior, doesn’t mean acts of individual or collective stupidity or wanton violence. War, for a warrior, is the total struggle against that individual self that has deprived man of his power.” – Castaneda
“It doesn’t matter what anybody says or does. You must be an impeccable man yourself. The fight is right there in his chest. It takes all the time and energy we have to conquer the idiocy in us. And that’s what matters. The rest is of no importance. To be an impeccable warrior will give you vigor, youth, and power.” – Castaneda
“The world of people goes up and down, and people go up and down with their world; as warriors (sorcerers) we have no business following them in their ups and downs. The Art of war is to be outside everything and be unnoticeable. And more than anything else, the art of warriors (sorcerers) is never to waste their powder (conservation of energy is the end game).
“The average man, if he uses only the energy he has, he can’t perceive the world the way that warriors do. To perceive them, warriors must access the energy they have stored, to access heightened levels of awareness. Naturally, if the average man is to perceive those worlds and understand the warrior’s perception, he must have access to that same energy cluster.
Think of it this way. It isn’t that as time goes by you are learning the arts of war; rather, what you are learning is to save energy. This energy will enable you to access heightened levels of awareness and consciousness. And this is “The Art of War,” the ability to use stored energy; the ability to view the world as we know it from a point of access (stored) energy and not the normal state of deployed (draining) energy.
Being a warrior is really just a heightened state of awareness. The warrior has the ability to perceive something which ordinary perception cannot.
My friend, everything that I will put you through, each of the things I will show you, is just a device to convince you that there is more to us than meets the eye!
We don’t need anyone to teach us the way, because there is nothing really to learn. What we need is a teacher to show us and convince us that there is an incalculable power at our fingertips. What a strange paradox! Every warrior on the path of knowledge thinks, at one time or another that he is learning the secrets of the way. But all he is doing is allowing himself to be convinced of the power hidden in his being, and that he can reach it.
I am just a pointer to the way, like a finger pointing to the moon. If you pay attention to my finger, or to the moon, you will miss all the heavenly glory.
I am trying to convince you that you can reach that power. I went through the same thing, and I was as hard to convince as you are. Once we have reached it, it will by itself make use of your stored energy and raise your level of awareness and change the way you perceive the world and yourself. And this as I have said is the way of the warrior.
We begin then, to see – that is, to perceive – something else; not as an imagination, but as real and concrete. And then we begin to know without having to use words (intellect). And what any of us does with that increased perception, with that silent knowledge, depends on your own temperament.
