The Art of Expressing the Human Body

To Whom It May Concern:

As an actor I’ve worked along side name actors: Sarah Chalke, Keith David, Topher Grace, Jerry
Orbach and Kiefer Sutherland. Under notable directors Timothy Busfield, John Herzfeld and most
recently Michael Bay as the new voice in the Transformer’s Franchise, Autobot Evac. All have
been impressive individuals I consider to be in a league of their own. Harinder Singh falls into this
category. I began studying Karate when I was 8 years old. Through out my travels in the
Entertainment Industry I’ve met some of the best martial artists in the world. I have no doubt he is
one of them. His dedication to the art and spiritual development as an individual emanate. If you
are serious about your work as a Martial Artist, Harinder Singh should be the next Sifu you
consider.

Love, Honor, Respect and Defense,

I have been involved in martial arts for over 25 years and in Law Enforcement for over 13. I hold black belts in 5 styles, I am a Police Subject Control Instructor and hold Full Instructor status in Jeet Kune Do.  I have had the honor and privilege to train with some of the best fighters, champions and instructors in the world, and Sifu Harinder Singh is without question one of the finest I have encountered.

As a Police Officer I find myself in daily contact with the most violent and dangerous elements in society. I cannot afford to have any doubt about my skills or my conditioning.  Sifu Singh’s methods are second to none and he has me in the best shape of my career with a combative skillset that has proven itself time and time again.

In addition to being pound for pound the strongest man I know, he moves like a panther. Yet Singh is also one of the most generous and kind-hearted individuals it has been my pleasure to meet. He truly leads by example and represents that perfect synthesis of mind, body and spirit that so many aspire to, yet so few achieve.

Sifu Singh can help anyone achieve their full potential. Bet your life on it – I know I do!

- Jay Cooper,

Sifu Harinder Singh is one of the most impressive martial artists I have met in my years of training. He is not only intelligent and hard-working, but creative, easy-going, and truly responsive to others. He has a natural gift that is unattainable by many; the ability to be calm and spirituality motivating with the expressive movements of T’ai Chi, to strong and athletic with the power of Action Strength, and the ability to be aggressive and precise within the fluidity of Jeet Kune Do. I have no doubt that Sifu Singh would excel in whatever endeavor he pursues, and I believe he would be a positive mentor to all no matter of age, physical ability or years of martial arts experience. As a woman in a man’s arena, I feel my most comfortable and receive the highest level of empowerment through my continued training under the direction of Sifu Harinder Singh.

- Leigh Garczynski,

I am blessed to have met and personally trained with Harinder Singh in Action Strength and Contemporary Jeet Kune Do. He has devoted his life to excel in fitness, develop strength and the excel in the martial arts. He has searched and traveled the world to train under the best martial arts and fitness instructors…Singh is one of the fastest and strongest athletes I have ever laid eyes on. He reminds me of Bruce Lee Look-ing at and training with him I can only imagine how Bruce Lee moved in person. Singh is my fitness and martial arts mentor.

- Julio Anta,

“I have the privilege and honor of training on a regular basis with Sifu Harinder Singh. Having myself worked with and trained under many martial arts legends, I can truly say that Sifu is a phenomenal world class martial artist, and I wholeheartedly recommend him. Understanding that to be a true master of the arts is to remain a student for life, he painstakingly continues to develop his craft and expand his knowlege. He pushes himself hard, and truly walks the walk. He provides an excellent example for others to follow who desire to progress along the path to self mastery – physically, mentally, and spiritually. I believe that Grandmaster Bruce Lee himself would be very proud if he could see how Sifu Singh is exemplifying the Jeet Kune Do goal of freedom of self-expression in movement. You will be hard put to find another martial artist or teacher of the caliber of Sifu Harinder Singh.”

- Professor James Hundon ,

Sifu Singh, many thanks for your and Sigung’s kind note. It was a great honor to meet and train with you at the Summit–which really was a very special gathering! Allow me to congratulate you again for being the driving force behind the efforts to organize and implement not only the Summit, but Sigung’s vision regarding the entire DOM program. You have initiated and generated an inspiring program that I know will be successful. Quite simply, these efforts could not–and would not have happened without the talent and energy you personally channeled so effectively into these initiatives.

I look forward to being a DOM member–and greatly appreciate what you have done to get this wonderful art moving back toward its rightful position.

Very respectfully, Richard

My name is Anthony Spatara and I am a lieutenant and SWAT Team Commander for the West Palm Beach Police Department. I would like to take a few minutes to critique a course you recently offered that I attended. That course was “Rapid Assault Tactics.”

I found the course to be rigorous and comprehensive in that it covered defensive tactics as they are applicable to current trends in law enforcement. The mainstream popularity of Mixed Martial Arts has created the toughest, best trained and conditioned athletes who, in most cases, use their skills during sanctioned competitions. The popularity of MMA has also increased the likelihood a police officer will encounter a skilled adversary who is capable of inflicting harm or injury to him or her if he or she may have been a lesser opponent. In today’s climate, Mixed Martial Arts have become very popular with many groups outside law enforcement. We are continually finding we encounter adversaries with varying skill levels, and depending on those skills, are potentially formidable opponents.

.As a student, I found your course to be professionally presented and geared toward use of force considerations in law enforcement. I was particularly impressed with the fact that you enlightened us with the concept of survival breathing. This skill provides an officer increased stamina not only during conditioning exercises, but when it is needed most – in a life or death struggle against a violent, combative subject. By the end of the day, I felt the students gained a solid foundation not only to employ your technique but also had the ability to defend themselves from someone using techniques against them with ill intent. Our SWAT Team will certainly employ your techniques during future training sessions and possibly expand upon them. We look forward to future training opportunities with you. On behalf of the West Palm Beach SWAT team and all of the others in attendance, I want to collectively thank you for the eye-opening, outstanding training!

- Lt. Anthony J. Spatara,SWAT Commander, West Palm Beach, Florida

Dear Sifu Sabharwal,

On behalf of the staff and all the members of Gold Medal Martial Arts, we would like to thank you for leading us through an incredible seminar this part Saturday, June 6, 2009.

During the past few days we have had the occasion to speak with several attendees who have varying degrees of martial arts experience about the seminar. Their collective positive feedback of how you shared your skills of Jeet Kun Do and Filipino Martial Arts demonstrates how much of an impact you had on them. We wanted to take the opportunity to share some of their thoughts with you.

“His skills, body mechanics, and knowledge of the art effectively demonstrated the concepts and drills of Jeet Kune Do to the students. It was a pleasure to have him teach at Gold Medal and we are looking forward to having him come back in the very near future.” –Advanced Martial Arts practicitioner

“The seminar helped me to appreciate the art of Jeet Kun Do more. I learned more about (as it is described on their website) Bruce Lee’s art that emphasizes ‘practicality, flexibility, speed, and efficiency from understanding kicking range, punching range, trapping range, and grapping range.’ And to see it demonstrated the way it was on Saturday just helped put things into proper perspective. I’ll definitely be there for the next one.” –Intermediate Martial Arts Practitioner

“I thought the seminar was incredibly educational, not only with the teaching but spiritually as well. It was also fun to meet others who enjoy the art and to see how another instructor taught.”-Beginning Martial Arts Practitioner.

Thank you again for taking the time to lead us this past weekend. We all truly benefitted from your 23 years of dedication to not only learning, but living out what is obviously a true life’s passion.

- Master Herb Perez,1992 Olympic Gold Medalist

“I supervised and mentored Harinder during his time as a strategic marketing manager at Xilinx. Having served in the Navy and in business, Singh exemplifies the best qualities of great leaders in both. He was great at building and facilitating teams, and seeing strategic growth opportunities for companies that would boost revenue. I know him to be a great leader, and I can only imagine what his courses would do for any company that took them, considering he is combining strategic consulting with training. I recommend any company needing to improve its strategy and performance get Singh on their side.”

- David Mok,Nuclear Submarine Commander, Navy Top Gun, and mentor at Xilinx

“It’s like James Bond meets Bruce Lee meets Tony Robbins. I don’t know how else to describe it. Singh’s experience is totally unique. You learn how to be an impeccable warrior, never having to fear for your safety again, but you also explore health, wellness, balance, quieting the mind, philosophy, and as a result your personal power grows and surpasses your imagination. It’s helped me be a better executive, manage people more effortlessly and more effectively, and approach situations with greater ambition and clarity. Google has already benefitted from what I’ve learned from Singh and I encourage my fellow Googlers to explore what Singh has to offer.”

- Artim Boutzev,Google

“As CEO of Fantasy Sports Matrix, I deal with athletics all the time. I can say, and Black Belt Magazine would agree with me, that Singh is one of the strongest, best conditioned men on the planet. His Action Strength system is one of the most advanced conditioning systems I have ever seen, and I’ve seen it both allow average athletes to get on the level with pros, and pros to get to new heights. Singh is truly inspirational and will change how you think about fighting, fitness, and wellness.”

- Jay Srinivasan,CEO, Fantasy Sports Matrix

“I have trained in various martial arts for over 15 years – and I can honestly say that training with Harinder in the PFS system has been one of the most educational and enlightening of my martial arts experiences. PFS training has introduced me to a new dynamic mode of training that has really helped to “push the envelope” in terms of both familiar and new skillsets being tested under realistic (yet controlled) conditions.

I am ranked as a Shodan (1st-degree Black Belt) in Ken Ju Ryu Kenpo-JuJitsu, and have also cross-trained in Hapkido, Aikido, Kuk Sul, and Escrima. While I have trained under exceptional instructors, I have found Harinder’s teaching style, body of knowledge, and personality to be among the best I’ve had the honor to learn from. His intensity without ego or intimidation, coupled with an infectious passion for martial arts inspires me to train harder to achieve more..

Few have the gifts of both being an excellent practitioner as well as an excellent teacher — Harinder excels at both. I would absolutely recommend anyone, at any level, to come and train here: learn about yourself, while you also learn to fight.” – John Schroeder

- John Schroeder, Cisco intelligence division,st Degree Black Belt, Ken Ju Ryu Kenpo- JuJitsu Cross trained: Hapkido, Aikido, Kuk Sul, Escrima.

“I feel as though before I met Singh, I was metaphorically like a freestyle rapper who had a lot of talent and potential and knew what he was capable of. Working with Singh was like working with Dr. Dre, a highly skilled veteran producer of talent. He taught me how to make hits. Through methodology of clear and achievable goals, impeccable conduct, strength and strategy, I felt myself in a matter of months turn into the person I knew I could be. I highly recommend training with Singh to anyone looking to make themselves stronger, more capable, and a better person overall. What he can offer you and how he can train you is so multifaceted, balanced, and holistic that it will resonate with and amaze you.”

Six decades of play, work, stress and injury together with some recent neglect had me tipping the scales at 210 with love handles the size of footballs. My left knee and my right shoulder were stiff, sore and inflexible. I resolved to spend a year in rehabilitation and rejuvenation.

For five months, I worked out in an expensive, fancy health club with basketball court, swimming pools, steam bath, Jacuzzi, sauna and many other amenities. I made no significant gains in physical attributes, (speed, quickness agility, timing flexibility, strength, endurance, coordination, dexterity, ambidexterity, balance, posture, and footwork) was still plagued by shoulder, knee and sciatic nerve pain, and, though I lost 20 pounds, most of that could be attributed to diet changes.

In early June, a friend introduced me to Descendants of the Masters and Action Strength Training. The first time I did dands, I did three (from my knees). They were shallow, and I thought I might eat gravel. Baithaks made my knees creak and my sciatic scream. If I had to use one word it would be “pathetic.” Two words would be “miserably inadequate”.

A couple of days later I tried again and was about the same. I kept trying. Results were not instantaneous. Growth was slow, sporadic and in small increments. I kept trying. My friend continued to instruct and encourage me. I had a breakthrough in early August where I did dands (knee) for over three minutes. My baithaks were also much improved but I had not yet broken through. My sciatic and knees still hurt.

In August the Descendants of the Masters Bash on the Beach was gasoline on that spark. I continued Action Strength Training with dands and baithaks and added the gada and a few body weight exercises on the mat. In September, I broke through in baithaks, said adios to my sciatic pain, and have not seen it since.
By October my center was stronger than ever and my energy flowed and transferred better than ever.
The pain and stiffness left my knee and shoulder as the joints became stronger and more flexible.
Four months of Action Strength Training had morphed my body, not just noticeably or even obviously, but astoundingly. My weight went down to 165 while thighs, arms, shoulders, chest and back gained strength. My waste was trim and my gut was a rock.

When I took my dogs up into the canyon, I found myself breaking into spontaneous
fits of running just because I felt like it.

Cataract and hernia surgeries prevented me from working out from early October through late November. Today is November 28 and I have been back for a week. I started slow but am already seeing it grow. The first day I did three sets of ten dands and twenty baithaks in my dojo. They were weak, shallow and slow.
Yesterday I was possessed by and relinquished to an uncontrollable urge to do a set of dands and baithaks before I left my house in the morning. Today I felt another uncontrollable urge to go to do dands and baithaks and swing a light gada when I took my dogs into the canyon. I did 100 dands (knee) and 200 baithaks. I banged them out in six sets, deep and strong.

At night, before sleep, as I get that good worked-out feeling in my muscles and joints, I find myself looking forward to the next day so I can work-out some more. See what you have done to me, Harinder.

I am an Action Strength Training junkie. Thank you. -Joseph Robinson

- Joseph Robinson,62 year old student of Sifu Singh

“As someone who started and operates a successful online business, I know how hard it’s been to get out there and compete. Training with Sifu Singh gave me the edge I needed to compete and make my mark, and my business has grown considerably. The value for any entrepreneur speaks for itself and stays with you as you build your business. You’re able to anticipate problems in the future, have less stress, communicate on a higher level. I find that I move and manage myself and my time far more effectively.”

- Mike Vu,CEO, TechCrazy

“Harinder, you are very good at what you do and I have been taught by the best. I would be more than confident to refer you to any of my friends in the fight game. You are good and so is the workout. I think this will make the difference in my training to take me to the next level. Kettle bell training is the shit it’s for real and so is Harinder he is very versed in the movement and the body mechanics that make it possible to teach this great skill. I would refer him and kettle bell training to anyone interested. “- Danny Kelly

- Danny Kelly,5 time United States Muay Thai Champion owner and head trainer of Main Street Kickboxing

“Training with Guro Harinder Sabharwal has been a great pleasure. In today’s martial arts landscape, it is rare to see tremendous aptitude coupled with sincere humility. Guro Sabharwal demonstrates a wisdom and seasoning far beyond his years. His open-mindedness in studying many different fighting disciplines and ability in finding the beauty and effectiveness in each style shows a true love of martial arts reminiscent of the great masters. Guro Sabharwal’s proficiency in flowing from Western Boxing to Wing Chun to JKD to BJJ to Muy Thai is seamless and inspiring. I would recommend Guro Sabharwal’s system of martial arts to practitioners of all levels.” Rocky Gomez

- Rocky Gomez, Apple,2nd Degree Black Belt, Tang Soo Do - Moo Duk Kwan 4th Degree Black Belt, Tae Kwon Do Apprentice Instructor, Paul Vunak's Progressive Fighting Systems

Harinder is an outstanding instructor/trainer. He has the ability to bring a group into the optimum training “ZONE” and keep them there. If you are looking for an incredibly instense workout, try kettlebells with Harinder. You won’t be disappointed.

- Nick Price,Senior Program Manager Advanced Products Division, Xilinx, - San Jose, CA

“Once again, I found myself completely immersed in the study of martial arts today with Mr. Harinder Sabharwal. In 25 years of training in various arts, Mr. Sabharwal is among a very select group of individuals who trains not only his hands, feet, and mind, but with his entire soul. He passes this along to those who study with him. Unlike many who have become more interested in taking money from students, Mr. Sabharwal will one day leave his mark on the martial arts community for being what the arts are truly about – a code of honor, a sense of humbleness, and expressing oneself.

His ability to teach, mentor, and help people find their inner fire is second to none. Train, train, train, and if given the opportunity, immerse yourself in the study of the arts with Mr. Sabharwal.
Harinder is a very knowledgeable trainer in the field of body mechanics something that is very important to any athlete trying to perfect their performance on any level. I would be more than confident to refer you to any of my friends in the fight game. His ability to get the skills across in terms that are easy for all athletes to understand is amazing. I’ve been trained by many instructors over my years in sport and I would refer Harinder to anyone looking to take their workout to a new level of controlled pain. This is a program I plan to master and bring to my own students. I would give this 10 out of 10 your follow up workout e-mails are impressive.

- M. Stieg,Author, Fruit of the Spirit and Martial Arts Black Belt, Hapkido and Tae Kwon Do Head of CAMA Martial Arts Academy

Harinder has unmatched energy and determination. Through his dedicated work ethic and commitment to my success, I exceeded all of my expectations in strength and agility. Working out with Harinder has changed my life!

- Sanjay Gehani,Xilinx, Belmont, CA

Staying fit has always been a top priority of fine. However, it’s not always easy to do, even if you have the time. Lifting weights at the gym is a cumbersome process and it’s a tough routine to stick to while doing a kettle bell workout in my living room for 30 minutes a few times per week really isn’t. Through Harinder’s prescribed program I feel that I’ve gained attributes which I previously thought were unattainable. Last year I was able to complete a triathlon which has been a longstanding goal of mine. I’ve also been able to play recreational basketball (my favorite sport) as if I was in high school again. My endurance is better, I have more explosiveness, I feel stronger, I’m running faster, jumping higher, and my overall life is better. I owe a lot to Harinder. Without him none of this would have been possible. – Jay

- Jay S.,Sunnyvale, CA

Harinder gives excellent instruction on each KB technique and movement, focusing on safety and proper form. He provides lots of feedback. His classes are motivating and dynamic. I’ve been training with him for over a year. I’m challenged every class I have with him and look forward to them. KB training has far exceeded my expectations for results. I used to do a traditional free weight routine, but now I only do KB training and the improvements have been outstanding. I’m stronger, more flexible and more coordinated. It has not only helped my overall functional strength, I’ve seen improvements in my martial arts, rock climbing and running. I highly recommend taking classes with Harinder.

- Trevis Chandler,San Francisco, CA

At first I was quite skeptical of kettlebell training. I mean…how can you do so much with just one tool? Once I began the workout, within the first few weeks I felt an increase in strength, co-ordination, flexibility and a decrease in post workout stiffness and tightness. It also managed to increase my endurance. As a current final year Doctor of Chiropractic graduate student, I have also noticed an increase in speed, accuracy and precision when it comes to my spinal adjustive procedures, allowing me to take my methods of care to the next level. This is a great workout! Oh, and let’s not forget the amount weight I have lost while doing this workout. It can be a tough workout at times! But when Harinder is in the room with you, pushing you to the limits and motivating you to strive to be the best it’s all worth it! He really seems to enjoy what he does, always in a positive mood and ready to work with you. It’s that motivation that drives you to kick your workout up to the next level.

- Dr. Pawan S,4th year Doctor of Chiropractic grad student

I have tremendous respect and privilege to have Harinder as my kettlebell coaching Instructor. His vast knowledge of techniques and body mechanics with excellent communication skill has made significantly improvement to my Health, Strength, and Endurance of any of my sport activities like martial arts, biking, skiing.
He maintains high intensity workout, with safety in mind in his kettlebell lifting training and with his personalized home work instructions, I feel much physically fit, flexible, and stronger from when I started the KB program. I highly recommend him, It works.

- Al Momen,Senior Design Engineer, San Jose, Calf. USA

Harinder has an incredible KB program. I find myself having a much better sense of body control. From an athletic standpoint, my agility and endurance has increase tremendously. I find myself transforming to a much more explosive player on the basketball court. I highly recommend to athletes trying to take their game to the next level.

- Ken Darrell,San Jose, CA

Harinder’s explosive energy coupled with his unbelievable knowledge about the human body and how to train to maximal efficiency makes his class so much fun and beneficial. He has so much enthusiasm when teaching and he makes sure you are working out with great form to gain maximal benefits out of your workout. I have been actively involved in sports since I was a child and made training a huge part of my life. I used to go to the gym and lift weights for two hours, now after training with Harinder I workout for one hour with kettlebells and feel better than I have in years. I used to feel very stiff and sore after a workout when lifting traditional weights, now I feel great, I go out and meet with friends or sit down and get some homework done. Since starting kettlebell training I have gotten stronger, more agile, more muscle definition, and better confidence in my daily activities. Harinder opened my eyes to a different style of training, starting kettlebell training was the best decision I made for my body.

- Preet S.,Engineer, Hub, - Plymouth, MI, USA

Instructor Harinder is very passionate at what he does and has a great ability to help people better themselves. I am thankful to have met him and learn how to train from him. Staying fit and healthy has been a priority for me but I never found something that I really enjoyed doing until now. With kettlebell training, I even surprised myself. I would have never thought that I could lift a third of my weight! I look forward to each session and highly recommend his classes to anyone who cares about their health.

- Nancy Cao,Sunnyvale, CA

I was a little skeptical when I started training with kettlebells. I mean how could a metal ball with a handle take the place of my elliptical training, jogging, weightlifting and gym membership? Well, three months later, I’m kicking myself for not training with Harinder sooner. He is an excellent instructor with an in-depth knowledge of the training regimen and human body. After explaining how to do an exercise, Harinder will tell you why this exercise is going to benefit you. When I was at the gym, there was no real purpose for doing all the exercises I was doing. I was just trying to burn calories and sweat. The kettlebell training and Harinder’s instruction puts a purpose behind each movement and exercise, giving a focus that I’ve never had before while trying to get into shape. The results come quick too! With the years I spent at the gym, I was never able to achieve the type of results that I’ve been getting with the kettlebells. The explosion of power that I now have is ridiculous and evident through all my sports with my increased endurance (mountain biking, basketball, football, racquetball, etc.) If you want to be more than you can be, schedule some time with Harinder. You won’t be disappointed!

- Gary Mann,Attorney, The Mann Law Firm, - Cupertino, California

I take a lot of time to keep myself in shape but found that I’d hit a plateau. In my search for a more effective strength workout I turned to Harinder. The results were nothing short of astonishing. The first obvious change was my grip strength — I felt like I could crush just about anything with either hand. Then my core strength and back strength experienced a two-fold boost. None of this would have been possible without Harinder. His instruction is detailed, patient and attentive, but don’t construe this as an indication that he’ll go easy on you; he won’t. When the ten minute Man Maker exercises come around he’ll have you screaming for uncle.

- Rohan Thompson,Web Development Manager - San Francisco, CA

As a martial artist and former national-level competitor, I strive to balance strength and flexibility in my training. Harinder has shown me that a well planned KB program can efficiently improve my martial arts prowess and overall fitness. Having been a collegiate-level athlete, Harinder is familiar with the regimen needed to develop championship form. He uses his knowledge of kinesiology and biomechanics to develop specific and targeted KB workouts. Harinder’s approach is analytical, methodical, and effective.

Within a few short weeks, I find that my movements are more explosive and I have greater muscle endurance. I strongly recommend harinder’s training methods for the elite athlete wanting to elevate their game.

- Rocky Gomez,Apple, - San Jose, CA

My husband got into a fat loss bet – and I had heard about Kettlebells and found Harinder’s class through Yelp. I got my husband to sign up and was amazed at how fast he got results. He won his 6 month bet going from 24.8% to 13.7% body fat with very little dieting. I wanted to try them and see why they were so addicting. As a working mom – it’s been hard for me to find the time and energy to do something consistently good for my body that I’d actually stick to.

Done right, Kettlebells are a fun way to get the most efficient workout. Harinder’s guidance ensures you understand each movement – both the safety and the purpose, that you focus and connect your mind and body, and somehow he manages to push you further then you knew you could go. Even with just 20 minute workouts I do at home to supplement class, I’m seeing results that surprise me given how little time was spent. I love that I don’t need to haul off to a gym to get a workout I can do it anywhere, and another bonus has been feeling more focused and energized after wards.

I highly recommend Harinder’s class. Don’t do kettlebells unless you do them right. Kettlebells done right – are amazing. Harinder will surprise you at how much you can do, give you a thorough understanding of why and how to do each movement, and somehow you will enjoy each moment of class even when you’re sweating and rendered speechless from the grueling, kick your behind workouts.

Great instruction from a great teacher! Staying fit has always been a top priority of fine. However, it’s not always easy to do, even if you have the time. While I haven’t had the opportunity to take one of Harinder’s Kettlebell Training classes yet, I’ve had the opportunity to work with him the past few years at our company, so I can comment on his character. Harinder is passionate about martial arts and kettlebell training. He has a very strong knowledge and foundation of these topics, and always spends the time teach others and pass advice when needed. He has the qualities of a great teacher and communicator, demonstrating patience and a genuine care towards people. He is a motivator and not one lacking for provides words of encouragement to help others achieve their goals. I do one day hope to sign up for a class when the opportunity comes available!

- Kurt W.,Sunnyvale, CA

I have been a personal trainer for the last three years, so whatever I know about exercise mostly centered around cardio machines and gyms. Harinder opened up a completely new way of training myself, and the workouts kick my ass more than any cardio machine or weight apparatus. I’m using multiple muscle groups and getting my cardio in and I’ve been noticing that I’ve become stronger using the kettlebells. I also managed to lose a couple of pounds with incorporating kettlebells into my workouts. I highly recommend this class for anyone who wants a challenging workout and a break from the normal gym routine.

- Dr. Jennifer Y.,San Jose, CA

As a long time weight lifter it was difficult for me to believe that a single weight could benefit me as much as a gym full of equipment. I thought I was in decent shape until I was first introduced to the Kettlebell workout with Harinder. He showed me a whole new level of strength training and with his instruction I am in the best shape of my life. He is a great coach who pushes you to reach your full potential and will not take any excuses until you get there. I would recommend him to anyone looking to get in shape.

Spiritual Alchemy through Strength Training.

People start martial arts for different reasons. Some want to lose weight. Some want to build self confidence. Some want to learn how to fight and defend themselves for personal protection or as part of their career. (Military, Police, Guards, etc.) Some people want to unravel the mysteries of themselves and the universe. Whatever your motivations might be for training in martial arts, the Descendants of the Masters program, which includes Action Strength® is the most simple yet complete way to achieve all of the goals mentioned above.

I was first introduced to Action Strength at the D.O.M. retreat in the summer of 2010. Besides the fighting art that I was introduced to, and the many other facets of the seminar that blew my mind, I was very attracted to the Action Strength philosophies. Ever since I was kid, I have been fascinated with strength and speed. I played sports and have been very competitive all of my life, which naturally lead to my interest in various strength training methods. I learned very fast that having a tip-top physique was essential in developing as a martial artist and when I heard Sifu Harinder Singh say the words “physical meditation”, I felt very intrigued. Until Action Strength, I had never seen a system that not only emphasized the mind, body and spirit connection, but also the added intention to reprogram the most basic parts of the brain (reptilian/first circuit, fight or flight) through the practice of jeet kune do concepts. It was a perfect blend towards my goals for self-mastery.

During my course of training, I have broken through amazing barriers physically. I must admit that I didn’t expect a strength program to be such a crucial part of my emotional and mental training as well. My physical accomplishments shed light on some mental barriers I didn’t realize I had. I realized I needed to reprogram my internal dialogue to ensure I was being honest about muscle failure or mental laziness! Some time after exploring the boundaries of the mental plane, I began to become more and more aware of how my emotions were affecting the entire outcome of my workouts. So the next step was to identify how to best use this emotional awareness to my advantage.

The changes that I have gone through the last 12 months are hard to put into words. I have completely rebuilt my entire body and all of my internal functions as well! Though the intention in the beginning was to find ways to increase performance in regards to the martial arts, I eventually realized that I have been diligently participating in one of the most ancient forms of body movement and breathing exercises. Whatever the intention might be, the effects of these various postures and rythmic breath performed over time leads to all kinds of wonderful abilities in addition to superior strength, speed and flexibility. Through the focused intent, I have achieved heightened states of awareness that I thought were only possible through more conventional meditation methods. I understand now how movement and breath have been the building blocks for all forms of internal alchemy throughout history. These new states of spiritual awareness have allowed me to discover the most powerful emotion of all… Gratitude. Combining Action Strength and Contemporary Jeet Kune Do with the powerful focused vibrations of gratitude is truly the best medicine that I could recommend for true health, happiness and longevity. Bathing in the vibration of self generated gratitude is a truly unique feeling that every human should experience. This is why I now teach these concepts to the people who seek the medicine.

I have had the gratifying experience of witnessing a student of mine, a man in his sixties, harness such new, invigorating energy through Action Strength that it inspired him to break out and run across the park during a knife sparring session. He shared with me that he hadn’t run like that in over ten years and that his knees and shoulders are feeling stronger and less painful. This has all occured less than two weeks after he began his training and without changing his diet or taking medications. These methods are applicable to any person regardless of age or body type, there is no limit to who can learn this. The Descendants of the Masters is truly a world class program for those who want to reach their maximum potential in creative expression while here in the human experience!

- Darrell Eaglelion,

On Jeet Kun Do:

Bruce showed me how to harness some of what was raging inside of me and summon it completely at my will. The Chinese call it Qi; The Japanese Ki, Indians Prana, Hawaiians call it Mana. It is the life force, and it is incredibly powerful… it sounds bizarre, and it can’t be explained adequately, except to those that have already experienced it, but it is one of the very few willable miracles.

- Kareem Abdul Jabbar,

As CEO of Fantasy Sports Matrix, I deal with athletics all the time. Singh is truly inspirational and will change how you think about fighting, fitness, and wellness.
